Tampa Bay Resiliency Fund

In the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, residents in our community have been left vulnerable, facing challenges they never anticipated. The Tampa Bay Resiliency Fund provides critical support to deliver essential assistance to those who need it most.

How it works

What the fund responds to, and how your gift reaches people

The fund does not make grants to individuals. It funds the local organizations that deliver food, shelter, medical care, and emotional support directly to neighbors rebuilding after disaster.

What the fund pays for

Funding is prioritized to address community safety and security needs. Examples of priorities and uses:

Emergency basics: food, water, shelter, and other basic needs

Services for vulnerable and at-risk populations

Capacity: support so organizations can continue or expand critical services during the crisis

Transportation

Facility needs of social service agencies

Technology and infrastructure needed to increase service capacity

Gaps not met by federal and local government relief funding

2

Four funding partners review the need

PCF, Allegany Franciscan Ministries, Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg, and United Way Suncoast oversee distribution through a collaborative process, guided by a needs survey distributed to Tampa Bay nonprofits.

3

Grants go to nonprofits and public agencies

501(c)(3) organizations and governmental agencies receive grants to address immediate and mid- to long-term needs.

4

Those organizations help people directly

Grantees provide housing support, mental health services, disaster preparedness resources, and more to families across Tampa Bay.

100% of the funds collected through this effort are directed to immediate and mid- to long-term needs through grants to select nonprofits.
